Description
Cold weather hazards are the primary meteorological cause of aviation incidents and accidents worldwide. Learn how to keep your aircraft, crew and passengers safe with FlightSafety's updated Winter Operations Course. This is the most comprehensive online training course on cold weather hazards for flight department personnel and has been updated for the 2011-12 winter season.

The 2011/12 season course includes:
  • New FAA 2011/12 Holdover Time Tables
  • Certification process of aircraft for flight into icing conditions
  • Updated accident scenarios
Objectives
Cold Weather Operations 2011/12 provides flight department personnel with knowledge of the concepts, procedures, and guidelines that govern safe operations within a cold weather environment. It includes summaries of aviation accidents attributed to inadequate pre-takeoff inspections, inadequate de-icing and anti-icing procedures, and insufficient awareness of in-flight icing hazards.

Cold Weather Operations 2011/12 includes the following topics:

  • Deicing, Including use of the 2011/12 Holdover Time Tables
  • Anti-Icing, Including use of the 2011/12 Holdover Time Tables
