Description
Take a logical approach to troubleshooting your aircraft with FlightSafety's Principles of Troubleshooting (POT) online course. POT calls for recognizing the paths of influence using a four-step process to troubleshooting problems. Practical applications and exercises apply the skills learned. This instructor-led course is administered over the internet once every month.

Objectives
This course will help you troubleshoot problems on your aircraft using:
  • A logical approach which includes logical thought and communication, recognizing logical relationships, logic symbols, and logic systems
  • Paths of influence exercises that include identifying paths of influence, following the critical path, and determining troubleshooting levels
  • The four-step process that includes defining the situation, following the paths of influence, testing, and taking corrective action
  • Practical applications which include indications vs. malfunctions, concepts and procedures on multiple systems, reading electrical schematics and diagrams, and troubleshooting aircraft systems
