Embraer Legacy 500 Pilot Training Begins At FlightSafety's Dallas Learning Center

Embraer Legacy 500 pilot training is now available at the FlightSafety Dallas Learning Center.  The program will utilize a new Legacy 500 simulator which was recently certified by the FAA. This new simulator joins the Legacy 500 simulator in operation at FlightSafety’s St. Louis Learning Center. FlightSafety is Embraer Executive Aircraft’s authorized training provider for the Legacy 500.  Training manuals and Pre-study materials are available for download using myFlightSafety and also through the FlightSafety iPad app.

FlightSafety Selected as Embraer’s Exclusive Training Provider

Embraer selected FlightSafety International as the authorized training provider for Embraer’s midlight Legacy 450 and midsize Legacy 500 executive jets. The partnership also extends to the super midsize Legacy 600, the large Legacy 650, and the ultra-large Lineage 1000, as well as the E-Jets family of commercial jets. FlightSafety and Embraer are working together to develop new training programs, update existing courses, and determine the timing and location of additional flight simulators, devices, and equipment that is needed to support Embraer aircraft operators.  FlightSafety currently serves Embraer aircraft operators at six Learning Centers in the U.S. and Europe, using a fleet of 19 full flight simulators and other advanced training devices.

E-Jet 170/190 Series Training Now Available in New Locations

E-Jet 170/190 Series operators now have the option of training in Amsterdam, Netherlands; Exeter, UK and Amman, Jordan.  These locations offer both dry and wet simulator leasing in Level D simulators.  Contact FlightSafety’s Paris Learning Center for more information on training in Amsterdam, Exeter or Amman.

FlightSafety St. Louis Learning Center now offers Embraer 170/190 and Lineage 1000 Maintenance Training.  Course offerings include, Maintenance Initial, Maintenance Update, Avionics Add-On, Engine Run and Taxi and Maintenance Familiarization.

Maintenance training for the Embraer 135/145, Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 is available at FlightSafety

FlightSafety Houston, Paris and St. Louis Learning Centers now offer Embraer 135/145, Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 Maintenance Training. Courses offerings include, Maintenance Initial, Maintenance Update, Operational Maintenance Procedures, Advanced Troubleshooting, Engine Run and Taxi, Avionics, Ramp & Transit and Maintenance Familiarization.

VMC Circling Restriction Removal Course for Embraer 170/190 Series

This 2-hour course is for pilots who have had a type rating added to an FAA Pilot Certificate without training and checking in the circling maneuver and whose certificate is annotated with an “Embraer 170/190 Series Circling Approach-VMC Only” statement. This restriction may be removed when a circling approach is satisfactorily demonstrated to a current and qualified Training Center Evaluator or an FAA inspector in the Embraer 170/190 Series aircraft, or in a qualified Embraer 170/190 Series flight simulator.  This course is designed to do this and once the pilot successfully completes the evaluation, his/her certificate will be amended to remove the circling limitation.  This course is scheduled on request.
