As President of Frasca, a company founded by his father in 1958, John leads a team that designs and manufactures a wide range of innovative flight simulation devices. A lifelong aviation enthusiast, John learned the business through hands-on training. He joined the company in 1972, and some of his early roles included machinist, wiring, and assembly. By the age of 16, he was designing analog electrical systems.
He brought his acumen to the University of Illinois, where he studied electrical engineering while continuing to work for Frasca. In 2011, he was promoted to Frasca leadership, where he has overseen the company’s vision, operations, and growth. He has helped shape the family business into an international leader in simulation devices.
John continues the Frasca legacy to improve aviation safety. His solution-oriented approach to product development is fueled by his engineering background and passion for developing simulators that train pilots to be ready for real-world situations. In addition, he currently serves on Embry Riddle Aeronautical University’s Industry Advisory Board, the Parkland College Institute of Aviation Advisory Board, and the PEGASAS Industry Advisory Board.
