Mike serves as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of FlightSafety International. A versatile, team-oriented, and pragmatic leader with a proven track record of success across several disciplines, Mike spearheads the Legal, Ethics & Compliance and Global Trade Compliance functions for the company and its subsidiaries.
Prior to joining FlightSafety, Mike stood up the Business Ventures unit of Crawford Hoying, a Columbus-based real estate developer. Prior to that, Mike held positions at L Brands, Jones Day and Cooley, and spent several years on Capitol Hill as a senior legislative aide after starting out as a business consultant in Deloitte’s Federal Practice.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Miami University, where he was the captain of the men’s basketball team. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law. Mike also helped create Feed The Kids Columbus, a non-profit focused on ensuring food-insecure children in Central Ohio. He currently serves on their board, helping ensure kids have access to nutritious meals and snacks during extended school breaks and on weekends so they can learn and grow.
